Pāngarau resources coming soon
7 Whiringa-ā-rangi
Nine new Pāngarau workbooks are under development. Alongside these we are also in the process of reviewing and refreshing pāngarau resources that are already well-utilised in kura and schools to align with the newly developed Pāngarau wāhanga ako and to convert them into self-contained interactive and manipulative self-contained activity packs. These packs will include teacher guidance and ākonga (student) activities, offering students targeted, ready-to-use materials. Each kura and school (with te reo Māori settings) will receive up to five sample kits of the workbooks and refreshed resources early Term 1, 2025. Additional pāngarau kits will be available to order from the Ministry from Term 2, 2025, as needed.
In the meantime, a wide range of pāngarau resources from Te Whare Kōrero Pāngarau o Aotearoa collection and key Pāngarau resources on Tāhūrangi have been made available. You can also order these resources from DTBOTC. We encourage kaiako to take a look at these to see how they can make use of them. We have also created a video to help you navigate these resources.
