Instructions:
- Copy and laminate the pictures, i.e., the lake, the stones, the reeds, the mussel shells, the logs, bulrush, and the eel. The picture of the lake is the setting so should be bigger than the other pictures.
- Look at and discuss the picture cards – what do they see in each picture? If they were to put the picture in the lake setting, where would it go?
- Explain to the students you will read out some sentences and instructions for them to follow.
- Firstly, students are to listen carefully to the sentences and instructions. Secondly, choose the correct picture that is being described and place in the correct place on the lake setting.
- Students just listen for the first reading. At the second reading they follow the instructions.
