Ākona te Tau - Hine Raumati

 Taumata 1

The units explore festivities, food and weather that are associated with Summer and each of these themes is supported by a “puna” of traditional Māori literary forms, from which the activities have been derived. Throughout the units there are links to existing resources, and other media that will be useful. Feel free to adapt the units to suit you and your students. There is a broad overview at the beginning of each unit and ideas for assessment are included throughout the units.
