This aligns with the Māori perspective of the genealogy of Harakeke. This history stems from the time after the separation of Ranginui and Papatūānuku. It is said that all the children of Rangi and Papa were male. Tāne knew it was imperative to locate Kurawaka, but he wasn't quite sure what that was. So, he explored the different trees. Take a look at the genealogy below for a list of the trees he came across.  Aromatawai makes reference to the concept of the pā harakeke, in terms of the mokopuna, whānau, hapū, and iwi and the wider community.

Kōkō Pīwari will be our guide our representative for Te Mana o te Aromatawai. He has a connection to the pā harakeke.
He will soar in the sky, while listening to the various stories pertaining to harakeke(mokopuna, whānau, hapū and iwi), a spot frequented by Kōkō Pīwari to eat the nectar of the blossoms.
If you spot Kōkō Pīwari - signalling its a new or updated Aromatawai resource to support Te Marautanga o Aotearoa.
