Active People, Living Language, The Petition 1972 - Graphic Novel

Active People, Living Language explores the history of the Māori language in New Zealand, and in particular, the Māori Language Petition of 1972. Learn information, facts and accounts regarding te reo Māori, Ngā Tamatoa, Te Reo Māori Society, the New Zealand Government and New Zealand history within this digital book.

This is an exciting visual animation of the history of the Te Reo Māori petition.  It is an opportunity to acknowledge our past, celebrate our current achievements and initiatives that focus on normalising te reo Māori while continuing to encourage the education sector to embrace and have a plan to ensure Te Reo Māori continues to thrive.
